Islanders Luau brought the islands to the dessert at the Toyota Dealership in Cathedral City. Even through it was 112 degrees outside, we still grilled our awesome teriyaki chicken outside. After a sumptuous island buffet, we performed sizzling luau entertainment.
This was a tricky event to pull off, since the customer changed the venue to the end of Balboa Peninsula on the day before the luau. Busy crowds, complicated directions, sand....but look at the review!
Islanders Luau barbecued chicken, served up a buffet, and entertained the kids at the grand opening of the beautiful Pardee Homes community pool in Beaumont.
On Tuesday Islanders Luau was on hand to help ElectroRent say Aloha and farewell to a retiring employee who had worked for over 40 years to build the company. It was a pleasure for Islanders Luau to work with the ElectroRent team who was just as passionate about their special luau as we were. Together we were able to provide a luau experience at their company location that will not be forgotten in retirement nor by all who worked over the details to make sure that the Aloha send-off represented their love and gratitude. The wife of the person retiring came up to us to thank us personally and a member of the company team wrote the following:
The Islanders love feeding and entertaining our service men and women and their families at luaus every chance we get. We give them a deal every time, because not only is the beach at Camp Pendleton beautiful, but the men and women who serve there are awesome--respectful, appreciative, and incredibly helpful. They always cheerfully volunteer to help us carry our huge tikis, coolers, and such, through the sand to help us set up and to clean up afterward. This is the flag they carried for an event they had last year. God bless America and thank you, Marines!
"I would like to say thank you. Your guys were great, the food was very good, the service and the show. Wow, it was amazing! DJ, music, Hula dancers and the whole crew were really great. It is definitely TWO THUMPS UP, 10/10, highly recommended. We’ll keep in touch.” --Anh
The Islanders catered the City Ventures Apartment Complex's Community Luau with delicious Hawaiian food, including a whole roasted pig, then entertained the guests with hula dancers and fun men's numbers. The Islanders trained a guest to lei greet under our surfboard backdrop, and she was so happy with everything, that we got her enthusiasm on video!
Not only did the Islanders decorate the gym at the high school, but they provided island villages where students could weave headbands out of fresh palm leaves and orchids, get temporary island tattoos, take Hawaiian hula dance lessons, and see a coconut opening demo complete with fresh coco rice. Maril dressed up some of the boys from the district and they carried in a whole roasted pig right before the luau began.
"This is the best this gym has ever looked and ever will look! This is absolutely amazing! Absolutely gorgeous!!" -- A mom at the event
“Thank you for doing an awesome job at the party. Misty was extremely happy and we both thought you and your team did great. It was nice to meet Susiana, your mother, as well.” --Mark
Mark threw an elaborate luau for his wife, Misty, in Rancho Santa Fe. Maril made several trips to the venue to plan it out. Islanders hula dancers greeted each guest with a fresh orchid lei, while the steel drum band played festive island music. Mark hired Maril to decorate with huge tikis and a canoe full of fresh flowers. Maril dressed some of Mark’s friends in island garb and sent them out with a whole roasted pig on their shoulders to signal that dinner was served. Guests enjoyed the catered Hawaiian Barbecue Buffet, fresh Hawaiian shredded pork, and then a professional hula show. Several guests plan to hire the Islanders for their own parties!
Islanders Luau helped out with a wedding reception luau which included our Hawaiian BBQ catering, authentic Polynesian entertainment and island props and décor. Read the input received from our customer Brian.
It was a long drive up there, but it definitely ended up a great experience for Mic and his family. You wouldn't have thought you were in the desert by the warmness that was felt in that Luau atmosphere that evening. We could have been in Hawaii!
Hoping that the rain wouldn’t come down, Islanders Luau was asked to help with a 70th Birthday Luau in early April at the Indian Wells Country Club. It was a great time with our on-site Hawaiian BBQ Grill, Polynesian entertainment and island props and décor. Everyone at the event had been to Hawaii many times but they didn’t realize that we could bring the islands to them right there in the desert. Here was their reaction provided to us on the following day.
Islanders Luau was on-hand to help out with a special one-year old birthday luau for 150 people. It was a beautiful island setting with island props & décor. Of course, the celebration included lots of great on-site Hawaiian BBQ and Polynesian entertainment.
In March Islanders Luau was on-hand in Glendale serving our Polynesian Buffet including our Hula Chicken, Mahi Mahi, Hawaiian Short Ribs, and much more. We also provided some beautiful tikis. Here is the comment received from the customer afterward:
Its always hard to say “Aloha Oe” to family and friends when you are leaving, but easier done island-style. This was the case as Islanders Luau helped a family say good-bye as they were moving from their beautiful San Diego home. Family and friends were treated to live Hawaiian music as they walked into the luau and before long everyone was enjoying the beautiful buffet with Hawaiian short ribs, teriyaki chicken and veggies all grilled on-site. The Polynesian show brought lasting memories especially as friends performed the Hula together, then witnessed the Samoan fire dance.
Islanders Luau helped out with our third annual Harley Davidson Bike Night. The Bikers love the teriyaki chicken grilled on-site and of course the whole roasted pig. When the sun goes down everyone goes inside for the Polynesian show then its pictures on the bikes.
It was cold outside but you wouldn’t know it as you stepped inside and was taken on a show tour to the islands Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand, Samoa, Fiji and Tokelau. Each of these islands were represented with traditional dances performed from each. Even the bride was taught the “Siva Siva" from Samoa and did a surprise performance while the Islander family sang the traditional Taualuga. The wedding also featured the traditional Hawaiian Wedding song, beautifully performed. The room was totally transformed to a beautiful tropical island with beautiful island props, tropical flower arrangements and palm trees. The island feast was initiated with the traditional Pua’a pig ceremony. Then it was time to enjoy the Islanders Luau buffet table with island favorite dishes including: Hula Chicken, Kaneohe fried rice, Hawaiian Mac Salad, Susiana Cabbage Salad, Hawaiian Short Ribs and much much more…
Islanders Luau gave the Long Beach Boat Parade an Island flair with our Hawaiian BBQ, complete with the whole roasted pig, Sidewalk Island entertainment and of course our island props and décor. The spacing was so close during the fire dance that the audience could feel the fire. As people walked by the whole roasted pig, Chef Kimo offered teasers to those who couldn’t resist asking.
Islanders Luau completed our 4th year at Talega in San Clemente. There we performed and served over 600 guests. This is the thank you note we just received:
We were told that this was the largest private home in all of Pasadena – a beautiful 100 year mansion. We worked closely with the owner for a special luau with over 200 guests. We provided a tropical buffet with whole roasted pig and a Hawaiian BBQ.
Islanders luau set up at the Paseo Del Sol Home Owners Association luau in Temecula on September 19th. We provided on-site Hawaiian BBQ, authentic Polynesian entertainment and island props and decor. It was a beautiful evening and the guests contributed so much to that ambiance. They are already gearing up for next year to allow for more people.
