Hoping that the rain wouldn’t come down, Islanders Luau was asked to help with a 70th Birthday Luau in early April at the Indian Wells Country Club. It was a great time with our on-site Hawaiian BBQ Grill, Polynesian entertainment and island props and décor. Everyone at the event had been to Hawaii many times but they didn’t realize that we could bring the islands to them right there in the desert. Here was their reaction provided to us on the following day.
Islanders Luau was on-hand to help out with a special one-year old birthday luau for 150 people. It was a beautiful island setting with island props & décor. Of course, the celebration included lots of great on-site Hawaiian BBQ and Polynesian entertainment.
In March Islanders Luau was on-hand in Glendale serving our Polynesian Buffet including our Hula Chicken, Mahi Mahi, Hawaiian Short Ribs, and much more. We also provided some beautiful tikis. Here is the comment received from the customer afterward:
Its always hard to say “Aloha Oe” to family and friends when you are leaving, but easier done island-style. This was the case as Islanders Luau helped a family say good-bye as they were moving from their beautiful San Diego home. Family and friends were treated to live Hawaiian music as they walked into the luau and before long everyone was enjoying the beautiful buffet with Hawaiian short ribs, teriyaki chicken and veggies all grilled on-site. The Polynesian show brought lasting memories especially as friends performed the Hula together, then witnessed the Samoan fire dance.
Islanders Luau helped out with our third annual Harley Davidson Bike Night. The Bikers love the teriyaki chicken grilled on-site and of course the whole roasted pig. When the sun goes down everyone goes inside for the Polynesian show then its pictures on the bikes.
It was cold outside but you wouldn’t know it as you stepped inside and was taken on a show tour to the islands Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand, Samoa, Fiji and Tokelau. Each of these islands were represented with traditional dances performed from each. Even the bride was taught the “Siva Siva" from Samoa and did a surprise performance while the Islander family sang the traditional Taualuga. The wedding also featured the traditional Hawaiian Wedding song, beautifully performed. The room was totally transformed to a beautiful tropical island with beautiful island props, tropical flower arrangements and palm trees. The island feast was initiated with the traditional Pua’a pig ceremony. Then it was time to enjoy the Islanders Luau buffet table with island favorite dishes including: Hula Chicken, Kaneohe fried rice, Hawaiian Mac Salad, Susiana Cabbage Salad, Hawaiian Short Ribs and much much more…
Islanders Luau gave the Long Beach Boat Parade an Island flair with our Hawaiian BBQ, complete with the whole roasted pig, Sidewalk Island entertainment and of course our island props and décor. The spacing was so close during the fire dance that the audience could feel the fire. As people walked by the whole roasted pig, Chef Kimo offered teasers to those who couldn’t resist asking.
Islanders Luau completed our 4th year at Talega in San Clemente. There we performed and served over 600 guests. This is the thank you note we just received:
We were told that this was the largest private home in all of Pasadena – a beautiful 100 year mansion. We worked closely with the owner for a special luau with over 200 guests. We provided a tropical buffet with whole roasted pig and a Hawaiian BBQ.
Islanders luau set up at the Paseo Del Sol Home Owners Association luau in Temecula on September 19th. We provided on-site Hawaiian BBQ, authentic Polynesian entertainment and island props and decor. It was a beautiful evening and the guests contributed so much to that ambiance. They are already gearing up for next year to allow for more people.
Islanders Luau served and performed for an engagement luau in Mission Viejo. The quick response we heard back from the customer via email was as follows . . .
Islanders Luau provided an on-site Hawaiian BBQ menu and Polynesian buffet for two events: a birthday luau in Rancho Cucamonga and an Engagement dinner in Mission Viejo. Both luaus also included our whole roasted pig with the pig ceremony and afterward we performed dances from the islands of Samoa, Tahiti, New Zealand, and Hawaii
Islanders Luau was called upon to provide an exclusive luau held for 200 guests at a beautiful home in Coto De Caza. We served our buffet and warmed up the audience with our island show. Then, the Henry Kapono Band, the legendary musicians (C&K) from Hawaii finished off the night with all their great island music and dance tunes.
Islanders Luau performed for and served more than 100 guests of the Keyways Winery in Temecula. Among the guests was California Senator Jeff Stone, who was invited on stage with Chief Luteru to perform the Haka. It was all in good fun and enjoyed by all. The Chief was also interviewed on TV by a Chinese television station at the conclusion of the event.
Islanders Luau served our Hawaiian buffet and provided authentic Polynesian entertainment at the Trilogy Retirement Community in Corona CA. Almost 200 guests were in attendance and loved the entire evening, which included dancing following the show. Any retirement community that would like to find out more about what Islanders Luau can do for your luau, please call Nancy at Trilogy.
The wedding was held at the beautiful Fletcher Cove Community Center in Solana Beach. Islanders Luau has all of the insurance, health permits and licenses required by local government agencies; we are the preferred vendor for island style catering and entertainment at Camp Pendleton. We also are on the preferred vendor list for Orange County Parks and Recreation and many other entities.
Islanders Luau helped a family celebrate the 90th birthday of a great man in Hemet, by providing island entertainment. He was an aviator in WWII and is still a practicing dentist in his community while spending time with his great family. He and his wife had lived and spent lots of time in the islands and it was only fitting that his family wanted to celebrate his 90th birthday island-style.
Islanders Luau provided the on-site Hawaiian Grill, Island Props and Décor, plus great island entertainment for UCRs Anderson School of Business. It was threatening rain the whole time and we even got a little wet with some light “tropical island rain”. Thankfully we worked well with the UCR faculty and they were prepared with canopies and everything else needed to still have a very successful celebration.
Islanders Luau was called on to serve our Hawaiian BBQ and perform our Polynesian entertainment for a birthday luau in Newport Beach. We also provided lots of island props and more.
Islanders Luau was called upon to help with a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new school in Highland. We had done a family luau for the Principal previously, and she came up with the idea to have the event island style. It was a pleasure for us to see her again and help her in this important event with great luau catering, Polynesian entertainment and island props.
